English Classes at East Area Adult School at Ridge Technical College

The English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program is designed to offer low-cost classes to adults with limited English language abilities. Students will work on skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in English.

After taking the CASAS placement test, students are able to begin taking classes at one of our six skill levels. Our highly qualified, certified teachers help students learn to live and work in an English-speaking country. Before completing the program, students have the opportunity to test their progress and earn a certificate. Advisors are also available to assist students in choosing their next step toward a career path.

Enrollment

Requirements:

  • 16 years of age or older
  • Valid photo ID (Driver's License, Passport, etc.)
  • Social Security Card (if you have one)

Procedures:

  • Make an appointment
  • Complete required paperwork
  • Take the CASAS placement test, $20.00

Choose Class Location

  • Pay tuition fee, $30.00 per term
  • Start classes

International visitors and individuals with a tourist visa are not eligible for this program
